Technical Consultant – Digital Product Development to PDSVISION
Become a Technical Consultant at PDSVISION and work hands-on with advanced engineering systems, guiding customers through digital transformation across the Nordics!
Do you have a passion for complex technical systems and enjoy solving challenges at the intersection of engineering, IT and product data? Then this is a unique opportunity to join PDSVISION’s Business Consulting team and help companies get the most out of their PLM, CAD and related solutions.
PDSVISION is a global provider of services around 3D Design (CAD), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product Data Management (PDM), Simulation Modeling (CAE), Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality (AR) and Aftermarket Solutions.
At PDSVISION, you will work in delivery teams alongside experienced consultants supporting a wide range of customers.
Duties and responsibilities as Technical Consultant – Digital Product Development
As a Technical Consultant, you will have a technical and advisory role in PDSVISION’s customer projects. You will work in projects of varying size and complexity – from smaller upgrades to large, multi-year transformation programs – and combine hands-on technical work with close collaboration with customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing and configuring PLM and CAD solutions
You install, configure and upgrade systems. This includes both smaller assignments and larger implementation projects as part of a team. - Performing data migrations and complex system upgrades
In larger projects, you work with customers who already have PLM in place but need to move data, modernize existing solutions or transition to a new setup. Your work includes analysing the current data model, supporting GAP analyses, contributing to workflow design and helping to ensure the solution meets both technical and business requirements. - Acting as a Trusted Advisor
You guide customers on how to best use and evolve their PLM environment. This includes challenging current ways of working, identifying improvement opportunities and supporting the establishment of more efficient processes based on best practice. - Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
After implementation, you often continue to support customers. You contribute to long-term, trust-based relationships with customers of different sizes and across different industries.
You will be part of a friendly culture where collaboration is key, and you will have the opportunity to develop both as a consultant and as a technical specialist.
Experience, knowledge and skills
To succeed in this role, PDSVISION is looking for someone who brings:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience from technical consulting, system implementation, product development or similar roles
- Experience working with PLM-, CAD- or PDM-systems in some capacity
- Experience from customer-facing technical projects, such as installations, configurations, data migrations, upgrades or adaptations of technical tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take responsibility for your own tasks and progress
- The ability to work independently while still being a collaborative member of a project team
- Strong communication skills and ease in talking to both colleagues and customers
- Fluency in English; Swedish and/or Finnish is a strong advantage
- Valid work permit in Sweden or Finland
