Global Event Manager to XVIVO (interim assignment)

Due to parental leave XVIVO is seeking a Global Event Manager to handle the planning, execution, and evaluation of their key global events. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and excel at strategic planning and hands-on execution, this could be your next challenge!
The Global Event Manager role
Reporting to the Marketing & Brand Communications Director, you will be a vital part of a team focused on global marketing communication, strategic branding, and event execution. Working closely with internal departments and external partners, you will manage all aspects of global events—from strategy and content development to on-site logistics and post-event evaluations. Major events already planned for 2025 are Boston, London, Singapore, and San Francisco, as well as XVIVO’s flagship event, the October Masterclass.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global events strategy to strengthen XVIVO’s brand and drive business objectives.
- Oversee budgets, ensuring cost-effective yet high-quality event delivery.
- Organize and manage global congresses, industry symposiums, masterclasses, and webinars in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Handle end-to-end event logistics, including vendor coordination, staffing, branding, AV requirements, and compliance with local regulations.
- Plan and execute marketing and promotional efforts related to events.
- Collaborate with regional teams to ensure events meet local market needs.
- Develop agendas, supporting materials, and content for events.
- Act as the main point of contact for all event stakeholders, including speakers and external partners.
- Maintain and expand relationships with industry contacts to identify new collaboration opportunities.
- Stay informed about trends and innovations in event technology and formats.
This role is both strategic and operational, requiring a hands-on approach. You will manage everything from booth arrangements and symposiums to hotel bookings and on-site coordination, ensuring seamless event execution.
Experience, knowledge and skills
- Minimum of five years in event management, ideally with a broad scope of responsibilities in an international environment.
- Background in MedTech or a related industry is highly valued.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Relevant academic background or equivalent work experience.
- Fluent English is required; additional languages are a plus.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus but not mandatory.

We are looking for a flexible, proactive, and solution-oriented person with excellent interpersonal skills. This person should be a true “doer” who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of responsibilities.

This is a full-time, 16-month interim position via Hammer & Hanborg by Jurek. The assignment begins on February 1st or earlier if possible.
